Social media is the big thing. Everybody is talking about it and everybody agrees that something should be done. Not all know what and especially how.

The WinHoc model is a way to look at business in complex environments from different aspects. It combines futurestudies, strategy, tactics, socialweb and organization in a totally new way. It is dynamic, agile and focuses on initiating and sustaining momentum.

One reason companies find social media quite difficult to approach is that many consider it as a strategic issue. It is not. Social media, networking, web presencence etc. are matters of design. First you create your strategy and define the field where you intend to succeed then you design your social tools to support that strategy an to help initiate momentum.

Social Design can also be seen as a means to co-creation, this aspect is included in our idea.

Social Design is a part of the WinHoc model. More information on the website which is to be opened during this summer.

Would you like to develop a business model for your company based on the WinHoc model or discuss the Social Design. Please do not hesitate to contact Cristina Andersson cristina.andersson@develor.fi

WinHoc – a thriving strategy

The entire world is falling into a recession.  The traditional value chains are falling into pieces. The people and companies will need a new strategy how to survive during the bad times and to be ready to thrive when the time comes.

During the recession nations and companies are looking for innovations to help in aggravating situations. The problem often is that they do not actually know what is the difference between innovation and invention and that they believe that innovation can be achieved by “facilitating mechanisms” and innovative strategies.

Among others Al Ries and Tom Peters have empasized the tactical nature of innovation. Al Ries says that  ”Innovation Should Be Seen as aTactic, Not a Business Strategy”.

The problem is that tactical capability is a scarce resourse in companies today. The importance of a clear vision is understood but there are no tools or models to realize that vision in constantly changing and evolving hectic business environments.

The Win-Hoc (c) model is the answer to the problem of the lacking tactical skills. The concept combines the long-term strategy and the taking advantage of opportunities and powerful initiatives in the strategic field of business.

The time for innovative tactics is now. Nobody actually knows where the world is heading at and where will we stand when the the haze of the recession gets out of the way. Therefore it is time to act tactically wisely and innovatively right now and where the heat is on.

WinHoc is a concept for those who think that being proactive or reactive is not enough. WinHoc is for people and companies who want to take the winning initiative, be a dynamic actor in the field, create situations where they have an opportunity to win, and win they will.

Innovatiivinen taktiikka

Innovaatio on suosittu puheenaihe.

Kehittämäni Win-Hoc (c) malli on vastaus taktiikan ongelmaan.
